How it works
Four steps, and three of them take a minute
The complicated part — 323 council websites, each with its own search form, its own idea of a date, and its own habit of falling over — is ours. What is left for you is a list and a tick box.
Pick your councils
Add the councils you actually work in, £15 each per month. You can see the previous 28 days of applications the moment you subscribe, so day one is not an empty screen.
Filter down to the work you want
Extensions, loft and garage conversions, new builds, glazing, solar, landscaping, change of use. Filter by council, decision status, date, or any word in the address or the proposal. Save the search and it is waiting for you next week.
Write your letter once
Build a template with merge fields — the applicant's name, the site address, the proposal, your company details — then see exactly what will come out of the printer before anything is sent.
Tick, send, done
Select the applications you want, check the total, and confirm. We print and post. Every letter is checked against the opt-out list first, and you are only ever charged for letters that go out.

Most planning-lead services stop at a spreadsheet. The gap between a spreadsheet and a letter through somebody's door is where the work actually is, so that is the part we built.
Read weekly, from the source
Not a feed bought from somebody else. Our collector reads each council's own planning portal on a weekly cycle and records what it could not get, so gaps are visible rather than silent.
Filters built for the trade
Council, decision status, date received, and free text across the address and the proposal. Lead types are tagged for you: small residential, new build, glazing, solar, landscaping, change of use.
Saved searches, and what's new
Save the search you always run. The dashboard then tells you how many new applications match it — this week, and since the last time you looked. That is the whole habit: two minutes on a Monday.
See them on a map
The same filtered list, plotted. Colour-coded by decision status, so you can see at a glance whether a street is worth a morning's leaflets as well as a letter.
Letters that use the data
Merge fields drop the applicant's name, the site address, the proposal and your own company details straight into the letter. Unknown fields are flagged at preview, never silently dropped.
A real proof before you spend
The preview on screen is a picture of the actual print file, not an approximation of it. Your photos and logo, the address in the right place, the margins the printer needs. What you approve is what posts.
Printed and posted for you
No envelopes, no stamps, no trip to the post office. £1.20 a letter covers print, envelope and postage, charged only when a letter actually goes out.
Opt-outs honoured, properly
A published privacy notice, a retention policy, and a suppression list that is checked again at the moment of sending — not just when you picked the list. Anyone can ask us to stop, and it sticks.
Your data stays yours
Export any filtered list to CSV whenever you like, and bring your team in on their own logins. Nothing here is designed to make leaving difficult.

What we are not going to pretend
The bits we would rather you heard from us
A claim we cannot keep costs more than the sale it wins. So:
- Coverage is uneven. 302 councils are in the weekly cycle out of 323 we track. Some councils publish less than others, and some fall over. When a council fails we say so on the screen rather than showing you a shorter list and hoping.
- Weekly, not instant. The cycle is weekly. If you need an application within the hour of it appearing, we are not that product yet.
- We do not write your letter. The template is yours. We give you the data, the merge fields, the proof and the postage — the words that win the job are the part only you can do.
- Applicants can opt out, and we will honour it. Anyone who asks us to stop goes on a list that every send is checked against, including yours.

The things people ask first
Which councils can I get?
302 council planning portals are in the weekly cycle, and 323 are in the register. Subscribe to any of them at £15 a month each. If the one you work in is not there, tell us — adding a council is our job, not a paid extra.
What does it cost to try it properly?
£15. One council, one month. You will see that council's applications going back 28 days immediately, so you can judge the data before you send a single letter.
Am I tied in?
A council runs for a minimum of 30 days from the day you add it — that is there to stop people subscribing for a day, taking the lot and leaving. After that, remove it whenever you like and the billing stops to the day. There is no annual contract to get out of.
What is actually in the data?
The application reference, the site address and postcode, the proposal in the council's own words, the dates, the decision where one has been made, and a link back to the council's own page so you can check anything yourself.
Who prints and posts the letters?
A UK print-and-post service handles production and mailing. You approve a proof of the exact print file first, and the £1.20 covers print, envelope and postage.
Is writing to applicants allowed?
Planning applications are published by councils as public records. We write to applicants on a legitimate-interests basis, we publish what we hold and why, and we act on any objection. The full privacy notice is here, and anyone can ask us to stop.
